It’s very telling that Obama blows off the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts for an appearance on The View. Shows his priorities. Boy Scouts may be too young to vote, but my husband (an Eagle Scout) and I aren’t. Looking forward to 2012. (source)

As the President of the United States is also the honorary chairman of the Boy Scouts, President Obama was supposed to speak tomorrow at the 100th anniversary jamboree. Late yesterday, Obama declined due to a scheduling conflict. Which, you might understand, if he had pressing commitments like working on Afghanistan war, Iran, flooding in Milwaukee, gulf oil spill, etc. But, it came out later and confirmed by the White House that he was cancelling to tape an appearance on The View.

The Palin-ites aren’t just angry at Obama for not appearing at the Jamboree; they’re incensed that Reagan could never find the time to appear either:

Of course, it’s probably not worth pointing out that, as reported on FOXNews.com, he sent a videotaped greeting, that he has hosted Scouts in the Oval Office twice since taking office, that the White House informed the Scouts two months ago (not “late yesterday”) that Obama wouldn’t be able to appear in person, and that the Scouts themselves were never actually planning on him being there. Because those are “facts”, and facts are not important here.
In summary, Obama hates the Boy Scouts.
And in closing… The View? Really? Come on!
