Obama: Borders-Killer
One of the perverse twists of Obama’s economy is that I was able to buy “America by Heart” very cheaply from the unfortunate people at Borders. Brilliant book – Sarah has my strongest support “Run Sarah Run” (source)
It does seem likely that the economy that Obama personally created caused Sarah Palin’s book, specifically, to become available cheaply at a bookstore that was taken entirely by surprise when it had to close its doors, all of a sudden, with no warning.
Because if that’s not the explanation, then the only other thing that could make sense is that a business that failed to do anything useful online was trying to cheaply unload a book that had an initial print run of 1,000,000 copies, and whose publisher did not order a second run, indicating that there was already plenty of unsold stock available. Such an outlandish theory, which pits a large supply against a small demand, might be called the theory of “supply and demand”. But for me to understand what I’ve just written would mean that I’m an economist, and I’m not that, so I’m going to go with Obamanomics on this one instead. I have a PhD in that.
